With the challenge of Vallelunga this week, Porsche24 Redline continued to impress on-track at the mid-point of the V10 R-League season, against JAESA Team Suzuki who gave them a real challenge.
With both teams matching each other in terms of raw speed, there was little room for error from either side, leading to tense racing in the fourth round.
Vallelunga, the home of Assetto Corsa’s developers, with its fast flowing first sector allowed the teams to get really close for wheel-to-wheel drama going into the twisty middle sector.
Williams Esports and BMW Motorsport SIM Racing Team provided an overtaking clinic in arguably the best match up of the day.
Red Bull Racing Esports returned to winning ways, making it back into the top three in the overall standings, defeating a YAS HEAT team brimming with confidence following their previous victory.
However, it was hero to zero for Red Bull’s star driver Graham Carroll who was involved in a start line crash during the team race, making his victory at the Nordschleife a distant memory.
Unfortunately for Team Fordzilla it was another difficult day at the office with the team coming up short against BWT Racing Point Esports, leaving them at the bottom of the table without a win to
their name.
Following an electrifying race day at Vallelunga, the updated standings are:
Standings Position | Team | Points |
---|---|---|
01 | Porsche | 10 |
02 | Williams | 9 |
03 | Red Bull | 7 |
04 | BMW | 6 |
05 | Racing Point | 5 |
06 | Yas Heat | 4 |
07 | Suzuki | 3 |
08 | Fordzilla | 1 |
